The sponsor's argument

Why Michelle Hinchey says this is needed

Jonathan Myers is currently restricted to the number of hours that he can work and this bill will enable him to work more than 20 hours a week at the Chatham Police Department upon taking the Civil Service Exam.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
