The sponsor's argument
Why Luis R. Sepúlveda says this is needed
Adjournments must be posted on NYSCEF to provide a transparent, verifi- able record of amended deadlines, enhancing case management and prevent- ing defaults. The Chief Administrator of the Courts is mandated to create rules for the transmission and posting of adjournments on NYSCEF. This practice is vital for a fair litigation process, facilitating the rescheduling of hearings and deadlines, ensuring proper calendar manage- ment, allowing for settlement discussions, and using court resources efficiently.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
