The sponsor's argument

Why Kevin S. Parker says this is needed

In the Annual Report from the New York State Women Veterans Advisory Committee dated February 15, 2025, one of the recommendations recom- mended by the Committee is to strengthen mental health support. This bill would help in meeting this goal by requiring the Department of Veterans' Services to establish a peer-to-peer program for women veter- ans. PRIOR LEGISLATIVE N: New Legislation,

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
