The sponsor's argument
Why James Sanders Jr. says this is needed
City construction projects often include architecture and engineering as necessary components to project delivery. Recently, NYC has moved towards alternative delivery methods like expanded Design-Build, Progressive-Design Build, and CM-Build in order to integrate construction expertise in the design process. These models provide mean- ingful cost controls and reduce project duration. Bill will benefit MWBE architectural and engineering services.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
