The sponsor's argument

Why Roxanne J. Persaud says this is needed

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a treatment for perimenopause and menopause symptoms. According to studies, approximately 85% of menopau- sal women report experiencing symptoms of varying types that affect their daily lives. A variety of effective treatments are available to help address these symptoms, including but not limited to HRT. This legislation will provide awareness to those in New York State expe- riencing symptoms of what hormone replacement therapy is and give some guidance when speaking to their medical professionals.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
