The sponsor's argument
Since 2003, an annual remembrance takes place atop the bridge on the anniversary of September 11, 2001. Buffalo Police and Fire First Respon- ders, as well as EMS personnel and soldiers have faithfully attended every year. The purpose for this legislation is to honor the victims of 9/11 by renaming the bridge the "9.11 HEROES BRIDGE."
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
