The sponsor's argument

Why Cordell Cleare says this is needed

In 2023, the Assembly Aging Committee held a hearing to review and exam- ine the oversight of social adult day care programs. The Committee sought to gather testimony on the current oversight of social adult day care programs and ways to improve such programs for participants, their caregivers, and providers. Based on the feedback from stakeholders, this bill seeks to enhance and strengthen the State Office for the Aging's authority to regulate and oversee social adult day care programs.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
