The sponsor's argument
The Greene County Legislature adopted resolution 9-25 on January 15, 2025, requesting that the New York State Legislature introduce and pass legislation authorizing the County to continue to impose the mortgage recording tax of one-half of one percent.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
