The sponsor's argument
The Thiells-Roseville Fire Districtpurchased several parcels in July 2024. Because of the timing of the purchase, the district was unable to be added as exempt from school and real property taxes. This bill would allow the district to apply for exemption.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
