The sponsor's argument

Why Jeremy Cooney says this is needed

Current authorizations to impose such tax and to make distributions of the proceeds of that tax to local governments in Monroe County pursuant to the established formula expire on November 30, 2025.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
