The sponsor's argument

Why Robert Rolison says this is needed

The current language governing the Volunteer and Exempt Firemen's Benev- olent Association of Coldenham Inc. is outdated and does not fully reflect the evolving needs of the fire service community. By refining the association's purpose and ensuring that foreign fire insurance premium taxes are used effectively, this bill enhances support for volunteer firefighters and their families. These changes promote fair- ness, inclusivity, and efficiency in the administration of benefits and services provided by the association.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
