The sponsor's argument

Why Robert Rolison says this is needed

The Village of Cold Spring passed resolution 17-2025 requesting the extension of their a hotel and motel tax. This will allow Cold Spring to offset costs to infrastructure maintenance, garbage removal, public safety and staff costs.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
