The sponsor's argument

Why Mark Walczyk says this is needed

Fort de la Presentation is an integral part of the history for the city of Ogdensberg and St. Lawrence County. Originally settled as a French mission in 1748, it would become a French fort during the French and Indian War. During the War of 1812, it would be used by American Forces to guard the frontier. Because of the fort's historical significance, the City of Ogdensburg believes it is fitting to rename a portion of State Route 68 as "Fort de la Presentation Memorial Highway."

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
