The sponsor's argument
This bill is necessary to implement the terms of the ratified collec- tively negotiated agreements between the State of New York and the employee organization representing members of the Troopers Unit and members of the CO/NCO Unit in the Division of State Police. Such agree- ments are for the period April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2026.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
