The sponsor's argument

Why Joseph A. Griffo says this is needed

Syracuse Police Officer Michael E. Jensen was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 14, 2024, alongside Lieutenant Michel Hoosock of the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office during a standoff in Salina. This bill serves to honor Officer Jensen's service by renaming a section of State Route 46 in the City of Rome, where he was born and raised.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
