The sponsor's argument

Why Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick says this is needed

This legislation was requested by the Village of Malverne to alienate the parcel known as Carbone Park so that the Village may construct hous- ing and move forward with building out an improved playground at the site of a former Village Police Station.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
