Purpose, from the sponsor's memo

This is a chapter amendment to L.2024, C.674 to require state agencies to publish detailed information about their automated decision-making tools on their public websites. The Office of Information Technology will create and maintain an inventory of all artificial intelligence systems used by state agencies. Additionally, the legislation strength- ens worker protections by explicitly preserving existing civil service rights, ensuring these rights may not be diminished by AI systems.
