The sponsor's argument
The Town of Cortlandville has indicated, by formal resolution, that it wishes to discontinue the use of this small parcel for park and recre- ation purposes and wishes the New York State Legislature to authorize and empower the Town to alienate this small parcel of parkland. This bill provides the requested authorization to alienate this property as parkland.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
