Why Steve Rhoads says this is needed

William Cornell was an eighth-grade honors student at Wantagh Junior High School who, on September 21, 1982, was killed when a vehicle skid- ded out of control and struck the boy as he was running on the path with his teammates on the school's cross-country team. The designation of the path in his honor pays tribute to his memory and life tragically cut short.
