The sponsor's argument

Why Pamela Helming says this is needed

The Wayne County Board of Supervisors has requested legislation to be introduced in the State Legislature to grant Wayne County the ability to extend the additional one percent sales and compensating use tax through November 30, 2027.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
