This legislation amends the underlying chapter to exclude private non- public nursing homes under the Special Focus Facility program, nursing homes subject to the denial of payment from Medicaid and Medicare, and nursing homes subject to enforcement action by the department in the last 18 months that resulted in a finding of deficiency from making equity withdrawals. The chapter amendment also adjusts the effective date to immediately for section 1, and effective one year after it becomes law for sections 2 and 3 of this bill.
