The sponsor's argument

Why Jake Ashby says this is needed

Highway Maintenance Supervisor Robert Bornt sustained catastrophic inju- ries related to a work zone intrusion and tragically passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. This dedication will honor his legacy with a daily reminder to all who travel over the bridge of the profound impact one individual can have through selfless service. In addition to over 20 years of .public service with NYSDOT, Mr. Bornt was the current Hoosick Falls Fire Chief at the time of his passing.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
