The sponsor's argument

Why Monica Martinez says this is needed

Farmingdale First Baptist Church omission to file for tax exemption was an oversight, one that if recognized earlier, would have been promptly rectified. This error should not burden an organization that has consistently contributed positively to our community.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
