The sponsor's argument

Why Jake Ashby says this is needed

Disabilities that are obtained while serving can leave veterans unable to work and provide for their families. Veterans with any service connected disability deserve to have their financial strain lowered. This legislation expands the current real property tax exemption to include any level of disability.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
