The sponsor's argument

Why Sam Sutton says this is needed

For decades, the Amity Little League has served as a vital community hub in Brooklyn, providing a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for local youth and families. The league promotes physical fitness, team- work, and community engagement while keeping young people active and connected. By formally conveying this parcel of land to the Amity Little League, the City of New York can ensure the long-term preservation and improve- ment of a space that has become a cornerstone of neighborhood life. This bill allows the organization to invest in needed upgrades and expand its programs, furthering recreational and educational opportunities for generations to come.

This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
