Why Pete Harckham says this is needed
Through no fault of her own Tina Russo's full-time service credit with The New York State Teachers' Retirement System was calculated incorrect- ly causing her to receive an early retirement penalty and a substantial reduction from her pension. This bill fixes that by recalculating her pension without the reduction.
