The sponsor's argument
The Town of Beekman requested legislation to designate Fishkill Creek as an inland waterway in order to pursue New York State Local Waterfront Revitalization Program grants. These grants would help fund feasibility studies and design and implementation of land use and watershed manage- ment plans.
This is the sponsor's own case for the bill, quoted from their memorandum. It is not Agora's description of what the bill does.
