Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), in collaboration with relevant agencies, to develop and implement a plan by no later than January 1, 2027 to educate the public regarding the benefits and importance of childhood and adolescent vaccinations for individuals 18 years old or younger. In developing the plan, DOHMH would be required to consider recommendations adopted by major medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics.
