just 18 years old as a detention officer and ascended the ranks to deputy sheriff earlier this year. Erika lived a life of service and embodied the values of courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others. On behalf of the Texas Eighth Congressional District, I am grateful for all that Erika did to protect the citizens of Montgomery County.
